About
Made for people who make books.
Leafset Studio exists because authors and publishers deserve better tools.
The gap we noticed
Authors use tools like Vellum and Atticus to format their own books — and they work well for simple projects. But the moment you need real typographic control, team collaboration, or client workflows, those tools fall short.
Professional formatters, meanwhile, rely on Adobe InDesign — powerful but complex, expensive, and completely disconnected from the author. There is no tool that bridges these two worlds: beautiful enough for authors, powerful enough for professionals, with built-in collaboration that neither side currently has.
Leafset Studio is that bridge. A single platform where authors can produce publication-quality books on their own, and where formatters can run their entire client workflow without leaving the tool.
How it started
Leafset Studio began as an internal tool for a small group of fan fiction authors who wanted to turn their favourite works into physical books. The formatting options were either too simple or too expensive, so we built our own.
What started as a weekend project grew into something much larger. As we added professional typesetting, collaborative editing, and a cover designer, we realised the tool we needed was the tool everyone in independent publishing needed too.
